The Sports and Entertainment Hall was created as a joint project of the Municipality of Łącko and the Nowy Sącz District within the framework of the Małopolska Regional Operational Programme. Construction began in 2010, and the facility was officially opened on 13 May 2012 during the Apple Blossom Festival celebrations.
The hall covers an area of about 3,000 square metres. The main pitch, measuring 26.30 x 45.50 metres, is equipped with a synthetic surface. The spectator gallery offers around 700 seats with good visibility of the entire court. Next to the complex there is a large free car park.
The hall's infrastructure caters to various forms of physical activity. The main arena can be used for handball, volleyball, basketball and futsal matches. In the case of volleyball, three training sessions can be held simultaneously, which is invaluable for local clubs and schools. However, the hall’s versatility goes beyond the standard pitch. Users also have access to a climbing wall with five stations and a sauna.
The facility is located next to the Centre for Culture and Music Education, near the Czarna Woda Stream. The GLKS Zyndram Łącko Stadium named after Henryk Dybiec is 850 metres away. The sports hall in Łącko serves not only as a space for training and sports competitions, but also as a venue for concerts and cultural events. A perfect example are the annual New Year’s Concerts, which attract crowds of residents and tourists.
Rental prices are tailored to different needs: from PLN 40 per hour for half of the pitch to PLN 2,500 for a full-day commercial rental. School youth receive a 50% discount in the afternoons and on weekends. The facility operates daily, providing the residents of Łącko with constant access to professional sports infrastructure.
The hall in Łącko is an example of effectively combining local sports, recreational and cultural needs within one modern municipal investment.
